Why buy refurbished? Refurbished computers present a great value. They are units that are returned to the manufacturer due to buyer remorse or buyer change of mind or box imperfection or other reasons. Manufacturer tested the unit and made necessary adjustments and made sure it was performing as a new unit then sold it substantially lower than new units. Refurbished computers usually come with 3 months warranty and if you pay with your credit card, the credit card issuer usually extends the warranty for another 3 months so you'll have 6 months warranty.

What you don't get is just 6 months warranty but you save a lot ranging anywhere from 20% to over 50% compared to a new unit!! That translates to hundreds of dollars of savings!
