Thread: HELP Quote marks (") problem when importing from TXT file?

    Exclamation HELP Quote marks (") problem when importing from TXT file?

    Hi,

    is there any way to correctly import quotation marks characters in the "Description" field when importing a tab-delimited txt file?

    All my descriptions use HTML and I absolutely need them!
    I tried the escape character ( \" ) but it don't work...

    And another error with these characters is happening when exporting my auctions from eBid as a TXT file. All " characters are doubled.
    Example: <img src=""http://blabla.com/image.jpg"" />

    Thank you for your help

    It is normal for quotes to be doubled in csv text file format. You can use the
    Code:
    &quot;
    HTML character if you want to ensure your quotes are in place.

    I think it is not possible to convert the quotes inside all HTML tags using "&quot;" ?
    Example: <img src=&quot;http://blabla.com/image.jpg&quot; />

    In your description field replace all double quotation marks with single quotation marks and wrap the whole field in double quotes.
    i.e.
    "some text <img src='http://www.example.com/image.jpg' border=0> more text"
