Thread: Slowly migrating!

  1. #1

    Default Slowly migrating!

Well i have now started to migrate to here from ebay.... all the usual reasons. It's not going to be easy at first as i have been on ebay for 5 years and done pretty well.... But i am fed up with the single vision, closed ears rubbish that is coming out of thier customer service now days.
Classic one has been the last week. I got messed around by a buyer who didnt pay, ignored 3 nice emails, ignored the non paying bidder dispute etc. So i went to leave him 'positive' feedback ( cos we are not allowed to say bad things!) and wrote that he was a poor buyer and didnt have the decency to even reply etc... but i accidently left if for wrong person!!!! So i instantly left a follow up comment explaining, and wrote to ebay to ask to have it removed and why. The answer? Well 3 emails later i have been told that they don't get involved in feedback 'changes' as it is a member to member thing!!! I told them it was a mistake etc etc... but no. They think it's better to leave it there. Yet in the dispute guide it urges you to talk to the other party and try to resolve things!!
It's a joke.... just hope they don't leave me neg in return!
Anyway enough of that. I like what i find on here, early days, but buyers and sellers seem very happy. Rules are clear and sensible. Charges are great!
Hopefully by putting in a slip into all my sales on ebay telling people im moving here, i will bring my customers with me!

Welcome! Nicer class of people on here too! Support from customer services I think is second to none and the help and assistance I've been given from the longer serving members has been BRILLIANT. I'm not a business seller so am happy with the sales I've been getting. Sporadiac they may be but they are sales nonetheless. In the last week or two, I've done pretty well so am a happy kitty!

Welcome to eBid! Do you know the sellers here LOVE to see new sellers? Not like some other places.

And here, if I ever make a mistake when I leave feedback (or decide I was wrong), it can be changed. Don't even have to contact support.

I'm glad you're notifying your customers. Most people haven't heard of eBid yet, so that's important. Sales are slower here, but steadily improving. All our recent sales were to new eBid members . . so they're finding the site.

    Welcome to ebid !

Yes feebay's rules and polices are ridiculous, its as if they don't want any customers (sellers)

But that is what you get with all companies once they get to be a huge corporation. No Contact us email. No communication, no friendliness etc etc.

Things are slower on here, but once you have got your listing up and running, they look after themselves, and are a lot less expensive!

Welcome to Ebid, I'm sure you will find it a more pleasant site than the dark side. Many of us have sold /also sell on feebay but in general it is a one way road>>>>>>>>>>to ebid.

Spotted a typo on 2 of your listings...can u spot it!? ;-): SWIMMING POOL TREAMENT STARTER KIT (LARGE DISPENSER), also suggest that you type titles in standard grammar NOT ONLY CAPITALS as this will NOT be picked up by Google.

Well it is swimming pool weather now....hope you make plenty of sales.

Ah yes! I see the missing letter! No idea why i typed the title in caps'.... think it was late and i was doing other stuff at same time!
Good to see that people are slowly coming here. I send out about 1500 parcels a years and add a business card to all. They will all have a link to here on them from now on. So let's say that 500 fo those people actually have alook out of interest, of which lets say 250 people decide to tell their friends..... BINGO!

Hi there and welcome to ebid. Just had a peek at your auctions and noticed you have them all run till sold. It is better to list for 7 - 10 days with 10 auto re-lists, so the auctions will move up the lists and also be picked up by Google. Left as they are they will remain at the bottom of the pool!!

I think run till sold is a bad thing.
The items stay at the bottom of any search or listing and it makes the site look a bit like the 'last chance saloon' for stuff that has a hell of a job to sell...
