Question New to ebid and desperate for help!!!

    Hi

I have taken the plunge and signed up to be a fully fledged lifetime member!

I am struggling to work out how to set up stores. I have a wide variety of mens, ladies and childrens clothes, shoes and accessories to sell (plus household bits and bobs and books I'll worry about later).

When I set up a store can it only include one of these categories e.g. womens clothes or can it have a 'Clothing and Accessories' theme with sub categories?

I haven't even attempted to put an item on yet - do I load these first or after I've set up the store... and more to the point how do I do it?

Sure it's easy once you know how!

    Many thanks

    Amanda

I am experimenting (currently) with setting up a website pointing to my ebid auctions, so I can play with lots and lots of free website promotion tools.

    Mine is http://myebidauctions.weebly.com for ideas

You can always buy one from me.

Pop on over to the YDC Charity Auctions and get one for $1.50

    Always for a good cause.

Weebly does most of the work for you in setting up a website. (as you can tell I am a great weebly fan!)

Oh I know how you feel, I am having a rather stressy evening with a VERY bizarre glitch on some of my listings that I imported from the other side, all I can say its its well worth putting a few hours aside to work on things bit by bit- I am getting a few sales already and only started selling here about a month ago, and the people here are friendly and helpful.

Theres various people who have websites and social networking communities who will post links to your stores as well once they are up and running and you have some listings, for free, if you look at http://meetup.ebid.net/forumdisplay.php?f=131

The website is just an experiment that is costing me nothing but time so I am trying to see how it goes. Cant hurt, so what the hey.

My methodology on initially setting up was

    upgrade to seller+ lifetime
    load up my listings
    create stores
    import listings to the stores
make a forum signature with links to those stores

Then work on promoting the stores...
