Thread: There is increasing demand for CANCEL ORDER option

If a buyer doesn't want to complete a transaction they just don't pay. In that case it ties up your merchandise and makes a mess of trying to keep track of. On the other side I had a customer whose purse was stolen and all her credit and debit cards were cancelled. It was going to take at least 2 weeks for her to get things straightened out. She just didn't want anything more to deal with and I sure could understand how she felt.

I would like the ability to cancel transactions for a customers reasons or my own.

I would also like to be able to cancel a sale without the hassle of the current process. I would like a button I can click that cancels the transaction completely. Obviously, as sellers, we wouldn't want this available to the buyers lol. But buyers can contact us to cancel a sale if they feel they have changed their mind etc.

    Default Cancellation

When selling 11,000 individual cards from 5 cents to $5.00
a cancellation feature would be amazing for buyers who when placing an order
I recently had a visitor order some items and found the site too unfriendly for buying and canceled the entire order (100 items)
now I have this big list of crap and also may have to manually re-enter each item back into inventory.
Getting an e-mail each time you order an item is annoying too - when it should just be one e-mail with the whole order

They asked me why there is no shopping cart... and because of this I may have to move the entire store from eBid because no one wishes to buy from me here

so cancellation is a YES for me

I also would like the option. It should be a sellers option and not used indiscriminatly, but for example if someone has bought something by mistake, and contacts you to explain and ask to cancel , it would be so much easier for all concerned to be able to do that, as the seller. I hate having to tag as NPB when they have been upfront (though I have no patience with people who dont communicate...)
