Wouldn't it be better to set up a YDC Twitter Account?

Sarah, wouldn't it be better to set up a YDC Twitter Account, instead of tweeting using your own one?

In fact same for Facebook as well.

Obviously I hope eBid themselves eventually set up both for the site,

Any suggestions as to appropriate name? Name cannot have spaces or @ etc characters

You could always ask for a volunteer to do the facebook for YDC for you, I'm sure plenty of people would offer.
If it's set up to accept tweets, you only need to update twitter, although the bonus with using facebook is they show a thumbnail image.
When I searched twitter for username YDC I found
YDC_Center so it looks like underscores are allowed.

OK I just checked without reading the first quoted post, and have changed the username to YDC_Fundraising
There seems to be a character limit on usernames and the one above uses every character possible.

I'll try and implement the facebook thing this weekend & ask for help.

I hadn't realised the limit was so short, YDC_Fundraising looks good to me.
There are many ardent facebook fans out there, & a fair number here, so I'm sure somebody who is more au fait with it than I am will be able to help you with it.

Please don't think I was criticising, I wasn't, (I certainly didn't intend to), it's just when I searched twitter for YDC I found lots of tweets by Raindropsies, & thought it would all tie together better, with its own account.
Plus free you to use yours for tweeting your own stuff.
