Embedded photos not working in eBid

To save the bandwidth on my hosting package due to amount of photos I showed on eBay, I opened a free hosting account with Bytehost.

This embedding works fine with eBay and shows up on turbolister with no problems.

I noticed a problem with embedding photos on eBid straight away, but sometimes it works!

Under 9CT GOLD there should be five photos which have been embedded with the above code, they worked earlier (after going to each one via the address bar on Firefox first) but now I can't see them. The strange thing is, when I used photos hosted by my site, they showed up no problem but I didn't keep the code on long enough to see if they got blocked.

I have changed the CHMOD on all the photos in Bytehost to 777 to no avail.

Do eBid actively block embedded photos? eBay don't care about self hosted photos.

You do know you get 5 free photo's as a seller+ lifetime member so there is no need for embedding an extra 5 photo's?

I put up to 20 photos on some listings - who is to say how many photos are enough? I sell high value items and most of the time five photos are not enough, the quality and the amount of photos make a big difference to the amount of sales and the amount of money I get for an item. I know this because I have been on eBay from its inception.

Have you tried photo bucket to host you photo's then?

I can see all 5 images. Could be a timing issue if they sometimes don't show. Have you tried forcing a page reload using Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+R ?

eBid do not block embedded images. I often use them.

There are supposed to be 10 photos showing on the listing.

As I said...probably a timing issue. The image site does not respond quick enough when eBid creates the page (but sometimes does). I have never had problems with embedded images not appearing.

Maybe admin can give you a more definite answer.
