I wasn't surprised I got banned temporarily from posting & I really don't care, I just wanted to let other unhappy feebay members know that there is an alternative - good manners or not.

I'm not a professional seller & it's nice that I don't have to try & justify myself here. Over there its treated as a crime if you're fortunate enough to have plenty of things to sell that you haven't bought - not just by ebay, but by a great deal of the business members on the forums).

I agree. And traffic left is not enough to sustain it for long. I see this as a company that is stumbling badly. General Motors pulling out on deal to sell cars exclusively on line, a complete failure. Another stumble. Their new fashion feebay and classifieds features, same old same old, another couple of stumbles. Skype buy and management. Expensive stumble. Site is looking tired, etc.

And this is the company that was innovative, set the style and pace for last ten years? The one that did everything right? mmmm

Something has to give and it will make some interesting watching over next year.

BTW, anybody else get the announcement of upcoming changes over there that include "item condition", i.e., "new," "used," and "unspecified"? Like everything else there, this will be "mandatory." But seems to me I've seen something like this. Hmmmm..."new," "used," "unused." Ring a bell? Can't help wondering who's copying whom...

Doesn't it seem somewhat ridiculous to have a mandatory field which has an option of "unspecified"? Isn't that like not filling it in at all !!!

I like the unused option as things don't always fit into the new or used categories.

The one thing greedbay don't have any more is loyalty, either form the sellers and buyers who are still hanging on or the ones who moved on to fresh pastures.
Greedbay has treated its customers wuith total contempt for years and now the chickens are finally coming home to roost, sales down, visits down and the big businesses they were hping to attract are abandoning the sinking ship.
    Serves them right.

    You noticed that too? LOL
I too like the unused category, since I frequently get things that are pre-owned, but clearly unused--tags still on, etc.

I suspect that those who do well there like it just fine. I still list there, because I still sell there things that don't sell here. That's the way it is. But I list so few items that if they conk me on the head and toss me in the gutter, it won't make an appreciable difference to me.

They're for sure no longer the only game in town. I, too, still buy there now and again, but I've bought a whole heap more over here in recent months!

    Hi All,
I recently conducted market research to assist me with developing my business plan. 99% of the people (mainly business's) had not heard of Ebid. Why is there not more advertising campaigns? I absolutely agree with the comments regarding ebay. There fees are incredible, as are paypal. If anyone knows of an alternative way to collect money with less fees, I would love to hear.
    Suzy
