Anyone having trouble getting their listings up

I feel such a plonker now.
Did warn you I am not computer literate.

Now I have been using F/F with Windows Vista for a while with no problem until recently..

Then bang.
Couldny understand what had changed.

So I decided to uninstall F/F and re-install.
I then found out there is a F/F particularly for Windows Vista.
I have installed that Vista F/F and have now managed to list.
Fingers crossed the problem is fixed.

Thought I had it sussed when I re-installed FF.
Worked for a few listings, then it went haywire again.

I also just did a relist, when pressed preview it chucked me back to the category page again.

Trouble is the problem is intermittent.

You could try doing a few listings with Jing running, then you could send ebid the evidence.

Jing is a piece of software that records what you do on your computer, and produces a video of the results. ebid recommend it for this sort of situation. You can download it here http://www.jingproject.com/ - might be worth taking a look. Probably a bit of a learning curve, but a useful thing to have when you hit this sort of problem.

I googled Jing & found it along with Jingle blooming bells.
I have down loaded it, Will give it a try tomorrow.
Oldintheattic as been trying to help me today, we tried different things.
Now I think I will leave it until tomorrow as its given me a headache.

Stilll having problems listing.
O/H thinks it may be due to the Sky.

My next question

If I close all my listings down.
Will they stay in the closed section indefinately where they could be used at a later date, or will they get deleted after a certain amount of time?

If you are using the IE XP Vista, what you could do to tweek things, give the system a quick tuneup yourself ,is to download MSN's AUTO CARE. It lets you run checks thru IE, etc, and it does little tests, empties your caches, etc and sets settings that are off, etc. and if corrects what it finds is wrong. If I can having a bit of a problem with anything, IE, email, etc, I run Auto Care, takes a minute for each check (there are about 6 or 8) and saves copy to submit to MSN too. If it finds something, this is good way to document and then phone MSN and have them remotely check your system for problems.

Takes a few minutes to download from MSN site, and is really helpful. You might need just a tweek to get things going again.
