Default forgework and blacksmithing for beginners

    anyone here interested?
at a couple of events this year I am doing a little taster course for those who may be thinking about it but not wanting to spend a 3 figure sum to learn until after they have had a go.

the first event is mainly for those interested in history, living history and reenactment but I think the organizer would be happy to have more people there.

it is called 'The history Boot Camp' and is held at a scout camp near hemel hemstead just north west of London from the 9th to the 11th april.

as I make forges I am of course keen to encourage people but I am no expert ( though there will be many there who are ) but I do feel there is a need for such a thing as a taster available before going on a proper course that costs money.

and what do I plan on charging for this I hear you ask?

one soft drink ( pref a can of coke ) and that is it.

if anyone is interested and wants to know more then send me a PM, search on the web for history boot camp or post here

the second event is more of a public event and is held at stratford armouries in august.

If I still lived in the Home Counties (I was born in Hemel) I'd definitely be there, sounds like a great opportunity. Let me know if you come down this way ever.
