Real or fake?

Any watch experts out there?
I have a Rolex Submariner watch which was presented to my late brother-in-law on his retirement in the late eighties.
Problem is, on examination I found it has a quartz movement 'made in China'. So did Rolex ever use this type of movement? The rest of the watch is perfect in every detail.
I know what I think, but would appreciate a second opinion.

Is that a yes they used that type of movement or yes its a fake?

Sorry Cherokee47, I should have been more clearer, my Grandfather before he passed away he had one from his last Job with the quartz movement and he had it valued before he sold it to the collector, he got £2,500. So when I said YES I can only assume it is real.

And was Grandfather watch a "Made in China" quartz movement or a Japanese movement

Cheers for the comments. They mainly confirm my thoughts.

It says a lot for Sutton Water Company who presented it. Either they were a bunch of cheapskates or someone in personnel was on the fiddle!
