Thread: German military patch?

  1. #1

    Default German military patch?

I was going to list this but I have some questions about it.First is it real? By that I mean does it come from a WWII German uniform? Is there any rarity to it? How would I list it and what words could I use? Sometimes on the other sites these things have a habit of getting kicked off. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure I've read on another thread that because it displays the swastika then it's not allowed.

That is bizarre. But I know I had a Native American potery piece that got pulled off the other place because it had a swastika on it. It is a symbol that has been used for hundreds of years by a number of cultures....some face it one direction, some the other. Too bad that it has come to symbolize negative things from one time and place.
    Ta-Ta for now!

I haven't bothered to google but I believe the Nazis inverted the "good" swastika to symbolise evil. Then again that could just be propaganda!

Golden age war and super hero comics are plastered with it and I don't think any of them get pulled. There are some key words I know of that do get pulled, mostly racial slurs.

But I do seem to recall you can't use nazi or swastika in the description.Of course that is the other place.

How would I go about finding if this piece is authentic?

I doubt that is true....since the Nazi party thought it was a power for good so having an 'evil' emblem wouldn't be logical.

Not that some of what they did was logical
