Have I missed something?
On Ebids front page I see this -
Currently 2,069,814 auctions running in 9691 categories.

However on auction check site I find this -

So what's the score?

Ze boys have got rid of all the dead listings Unfortunatly it has a bad effect too

Firstly the number you quoted is for the U.K. alone so our numbers are a lot higher than that with all the eBid sites accounted for.


Secondly the boyz haven't updated the numbers on PSU because they have had a clean out of some non performing large sellers - a big round of applause for that !



Thirdly when the ninja lister finally appears in the next couple of days (I hope !!! ) we should soon make up ground with loads of sellers importing large quantities of listings.

Personally, I think it is wrong not update the figures just to keep ebid looking good for the sake of a stupid league table.

Would rather they were honest and upfront - would say a lot about them.

eBid no longer displays the total listings running across the site. Just the number open to each country on that country's home page.

Considering it hasnt changed by as much as 1 for a month now, and it is a known fact that at least one seller with 600,00+ items have been cleared from the site, it is obvious to most, that the figure is much lower than the one on the table. It is not exactly rocket science.
