    Before they went bye-bye..

On the eBay auction Web site, a Dutch auction is a type of online auction selling format a seller might use if he or she is listing multiple identical items for sale. In a Dutch auction, buyers specify the quantity of the items they would like to purchase and the amount they are willing to pay for each one. Winning bids are determined by multiplying the bid price by the number of items bid on. Also called multiple item auction.

NOW... if it was originally listed as RUN UNTIL Sold and 1 item sells... then the 4 remaining are still active and do Not expire.
    Got it?
This scenario will be change very shortly.

What a lot of waffle! My problem is:

In my bookshop i have 1 book for SALE at a fixed price. Whilst this listing (NOT AUCTION) has been running I have found a further two copies of the same book and wish to add them to my listing.
I have been finding that after editing, nothing has changed.

All of my listings will be BIN in the future. And to be able to alter stock levels to suit is all I'm asking for.

The move from a "normal" to "dutch" changes the bidding process. Reserves are removed and sales are based on the Starting Bid.

    Scenario

.. A book is for sale with a reserve of 10.00, starting bid of 1.00
.. Quantity is edited from 1 to 3
.. Reserve will be removed and all 3 will be for sale at a price of 1.00

As long as the editor understands this then we will be able to make this change.

    Suggestions?

The above is true for items sold by auction but not for those with only a BuyNow price.

So the editor logic would be:

If Fixed Price Then allow Qty change Else disallow Qty Change.

Gazza, will this mean that we can change a single auction to a dutch auction aswell?

Yes... exactly, that would be great.
(on another note.. there should not be a reserve price on any auctions)
Feebay started so many things that were/are not correct.

I hve MUCH stuff to upsell in quantities... found as I look through my huge inventory. I am sure there must be 500 sellers who would do the same.. even if it is 4 from 1
    Thanks
