Yeah....I have read it and it's chock full of sex and violence

That 'Song of Solomon' is a bit rude too

The Song of Solomon tells us that, in spite of the popular misunderstanding, God does not disapprove of sex.

Other parts of the Bible tell you that he specifies HOW we should use this gift.

I thought the song was written by Solomon

I also found a lot of advice on how we should use sex is in favour of pandering to the whims of men.

I was a bible student for 10 years.....which is why I avoid the book now.

Of course...I might think differently if Timothy was right when he said that all scripture is inspired of god...(2 Timothy 3:16)but I don't believe that Timothy is someone that I would want to listen to anyway.

Think there is another thread on pricing bibles, maybe 4 or 5 months ago? Someone was a real bible expert,,,,

I have had good luck selling Catholic bibles and missals, especially if leather bound and pre 1950s. Protestant bibles, not so much.

Bibles, prayer books etc are a very specialist field, and one I've never got into. Which is why I didn't offer an opinion earlier. But pretty much anything leather-bound is saleable in my experince, if that helps at all!
