Default Woo! I'm set up and running!

Registered a few months ago, my first items are up and running. Great site, much more better than some out there, eBay *cough*. Keep up the fantastic work guys, I've recommended this site to many friends and will keep doing so

    Thanks,
    Amanda.

Welcome to eBid Amanda, just make sure that you give people your buddy point URL when promoting eBid. Sales are slowly picking up here. If you need help just ask around in the Kitchen Table there are plenty of useful information about. Also 3 words of advise, Never use run til sold and contact your previous customers from eBay to tell them that you sell over here. Most importantly never have duplicate auctions these will get pulled as they must be set as a dutch auction.

Hey, thanks for the warm welcoming
When you say buddy point URL, what are you meaning? I've not really explored too much, hehe

Go to your "my ebid" page, and then click on "my buddy points" and have a read. It should all make a bit more sense then!

    Welcome aboard!

Hello Amanda welcome to eBid, OK to help you get started add a signature link to your posts so us nosey lot have an easy link to your items whilst reading the forums, read this thread http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=100959 then fill in some info on Your About Me Page so people know about you as a seller. Have a look at mine so you can see the sort of thing you can do. Perhaps buy a few things to kickstart your feedback over here, always looks better than a zero, ( I have some nice cheap prints ) have a look at my listings to see how I dealt with the zero feedback problem when I started.

Then email all YOUR (not Greedbay's they are a venue, they keep telling us) customers, and tell them where you are, give them a link to your listings. Grab the records while you can and from paypal records as well. That should keep you busy for a bit, and shout if you need a hand. Additional body parts incur a small fee Oh and finally read the forums there is a lot of useful information on here.

    Welcome Amanda!

Add lots of items, and if you have not had your first sale in 2-3 weeks, come back and ask members to look your listings over and suggest some tweeks to get things started.

    good luck,

    Default Up and running

Hi, I too set up not long ago, although I did register sometime last year, I have had one sale already. I like the new look Ebid, it is so easy to manage and get around, great site.

I would like to ask about the comment made to Amanda, by Craig7501 'never use run til sold' which is what I have listed all my items in, why?

I would also like to know where I find my buddy point URL.

Thanks in advance for help and advice.

If you look at listings in any category you will see that all the run until sold listings are together on the last page! If you add them for a time limited run (7-10 days is what seems to be advised) and go for 10 automatic reposts your listings will get to the top of listings regularly!

    That is good advice.
To me that is the key to getting your auctions "seen" if they rise to the top of the page they will be seen.
On feebay my auctions never got seen.
