I think the .tv pre-dated the other address. It was the one I was first given when I started using the site, and it just comes more naturally now to type that when asked. But I like the idea of them being mood-coded.

I always used to use the .tv until I noticed they state .net in the T&Cs.

Both are valid though.

I'm sure it's just me but I find sometimes I dont get a ticket No. with the .net address but always do with the .tv address.... but like I say I'm sure its just me

When eBid first started they only had the dot co dot uk domain, the dot tv was added a few years later & became the main address, they later bought the dot net domain.
When I first joined although the T & C's used the dot net, the dot tv was very much the active one, like Somer, I found you didn't always get an auto ticket or any other response from the dot net address.
In the last year or so that seems to have changed, & both addresses seem to work equally now.
