If you were shopping in a bricks & mortar music store......all Latin / Ballroom tend to come under the heading of "strict tempo" ie: a definate beat for whichever dance it's for.

'World music' to me would mean cultural music from different countries, like Peter Gabriel features in his Womad festivals, and not just certain set dance rhythms.
It can cover a vast range of music not just dance.
