Thread: Adding Ebay Feedback "Icon"

  1. #1

    Question Adding Ebay Feedback "Icon"

    Hi Again!

    I've been trying for several DAYS (says a lot about me, huh?!), to import the Ebay feedback icon/info from auctionfb.com into my "Me" page. I finally figured out how to make the link live, but when you click on the link (no picture displaying the info is there, just the link) you're taken to a page that says it si no longer available?!

    Please help!

    Thanks...AGAIN!!!!

    I don't think you can import eBay feedback, however you could use an image the smae as I do on my listings, take a look.

    Works fine. Check mine below.
    Probably what you did was insert the link to the pop-up window on this thread and ended up entering ( http:// ) TWICE.
    The pop-up is alreay populated by a http:// and if you copy the url ( don't put the whole link in there, just the http:// url ) you will inadvertantly have the http:// in the box/window twice. It won't work that way.
    Any other questions i'll be glad to help you out.

    Mike,

    Thanks for responding. I tried several times now to do what you said above, but when you click on the link, it takes you to an "invalid page." I saw how your link took you to the feedback badge.

    Here is MY code...what, if anything, should I delete/edit?

    <a href="http://auctionfb.com/click.php?user=1208" target="_blank">
    <img src="http://auctionfb.com/feedback.php?user=1208" border="0">
    </a>

    The link fields were completely blank, so I don't think I was entering "http://" twice.

    Shouldn't I just be able to paste it in to the link fields? This is becoming more frustrating than it's worth!

    I even tried just taking a "screen shot" of my badge and tried to import it as a picture...but that didn't work either! I use Firefox on a Mac...could THAT be the problem?

    Lori,
    For these threads you want to use this portion of your html code ( http://auctionfb.com/feedback.php?user=1208 ). To put this code in these threads use the icon up above that looks like a globe with a chain link, then enter the above code.

    For your web page enter the code exactly like you pasted it up above. It come out looking like this
    :
    Hope you don't mind me showing everyone your 100% Rating LOL -- NICE WORK! BE PROUD! This is what eBid needs - GOOD PEOPLE!

    I tried it on Dreamweaver and it works perfect just as you typed/pasted it. I don't know if Firefox has has anything to do with it. I don't believe it does though.

    Final note; the feedback photo showing above for you is 'only a picture' on this thread.
    In REAL life, on a web page, the little arrow on the lower right of photo is a link ( LINK ). It allows anyone to click on it and go directly to eBay's feedback and all the listings/comments involving you and customers. Someone nosey could really check you out.
    Just thought you should know. Us Pa. people have to stick together.
    Best regards,
    Mike

    Smile Leave ebay behind

    I MUST ADMIT THAT I AM QUITE AMAZED AT THE TIME PEOPLE HAVE SPENT, ATTEMPTING TO GET THERE FEEDBACK FROM EBAY ONTO EBID.'

    MY QUESTION IS WHY? I HAVE OVER 300 FEEDBACKS ON EBAY AT 100% RATING.... BUT SO WHAT. BIG DEAL.

    THE FACT IS THAT EBAYS RATING SYSTEM IS A JOKE, AND I FIND THAT CLOSE TO 40% OF PEOPLE DONT LEAVE ANY FEEDBACK AT ALL.

    WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT THE FEEDBACK FROM EBAY ON EBID?

    THIS SITE IS NOT EBAY

    IF YOU ARE SO CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR FEEDBACK FROM EBAY, WHY ARE YOU HERE???

    JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

    AS FOR ME, I DONT SELL MUCH. I AM A COLLECTOR OF RADIO RECEIVERS & TRANSCEIVERS. BUT I WILL SELL EXCESS EQUIPMENT. I USED TO SELL IT ON EBAY, BUT THERE FEES AND RULES ARE JUST TOO MUCH.

    I HAVE MOVED TO EBID & BOUGHT THE SELLER+ PACKAGE BECAUSE I WANT TO LEAVE EBAY BEHIND.....LIKE SO MANY HAVE IN THE PAST FEW YEARS.

    LETS ALL WORK AT INCREASING AWARNESS OF EBID.

    LETS STOP TRYING TO DRAG EBAY OVER HERE

    Raindropsies is right this thread has been dragged up from 2008 !
    These days you can now import your feedback with Repatoo if you wish, or have a Repatoo badge on your about me page if you want to keep old feedback seperate, the choice is up to each individual seller.
