    Default New Ebid comments

I have just had a quick look at the new Ebid and am very impressed, it looks clean and uncluttered and seems quite easy to use. so far.

I have one problem so far and that is the dark grey area at the bottom of the pages, Taking you to different areas of the site, quick links etc. which I admit, I don't often use, but, I won't be able to use it as I can't make out the words, they are grey on grey and too small for my old eyes to read, without a magnifying glass, maybe not a problem for the more eagle eyed of you, but impossible for me
Do you need some wicks for your oil lamp or paraffin heater? then Why not visit my Ebid store http://uk.ebid.net/stores/The-Mouse-Trap

List view shows 'calculate' rather than the amount for S&H

When looking at my own auctions summary, and especially
when using the My Ebid page, there's a whole chunk of other
peoples' auctions shown at the bottom of the screen. Please
get rid of it; when I'm working on my own stuff, I don't give
a hoot what other people are selling. My Ebid is precisely
that, not My Ebid plus other peoples' auctions.

Please avoid the eBay/Yahoo-style temptation to shove
advertising in one's face at every opportunity.

Apart from that, the new look is ok I suppose, though
personally I'm not keen on purple as a general site design
colour (can this be customised to one's own taste? eg.
    cookie based preferences or something?)

Oh, I agree with "The Mouse Trap" btw, the grey-on-grey
at the bottom of the screen is bad, not clear enough. How
about a customise option based on cookies or something
for the site's basic colour preferences? X on Y for the
bottom of the screen, Z for the site's base colour (that
purple looks worse the more I look at it.

    Ian.

I am showing the S/H in all views.. which is perfect.
Calculate is not the initial show when I look or change the view.

Something wrong here. Do others see the mess at the bottom of the listing where More from this Seller overlays the description?

Yes, just as you describe. Looks as if they've expected a maximum length or something.

Gazza - I see some overlays too - on store pages the column heading on left is covered by the categories and on the "My eBid" pages the green bar at the top is overlaying the "Forum eBid", "Aide" and "Informations" links.

Would it be an idea to have a dedicated thread for comments re new site and glitches as I'm getting confused?
