What was the date of the item sold?
Have you given them a 7 day grace to pay?
Have you issued 3 Payment reminders 24hrs apart?

Sorry this has happened to you on your first sale! Not fun.
After a reasonable length of time* has passed and you still get no payment or even communication from the buyer, you go to the after auction log for the item and send payment reminders. You send three, at least 24 hours apart. Then you can apply for fee refund. Depending on the selling price of the item, the final value fee might be insignificant or considerable. It might be easiest to "take it on the chin" fee-wise but please be sure to leave accurate feedback on the person so others can beware, even to the extent of blacklisting if desired.
*reasonable length of time is debatable and an interesting topic of its own
Hi Debbie , you do not say how long since you sold it ???...if only a couple of days....just hold on...buyer might contact at the weekend....but you should not have to pay any final value fees when you go through if the sale fails...someone else will explain this better than me.....but hope it works out.....papa.
the time it took me to type my reply....others had answered....( slow keyboard ) papa.
Give them plenty of time. I usually only start getting worried after day 10. I've even had a buyer pay me after a month, but she did email after a couple of weeks to let me know ! Your buyer might be waiting for their next pay cheque to come in !
After a reasonable length of time send three payment reminders 24 hours apart and then you can mark it as a non paying buyer and claim your fee back from support. You can then relist.

You can join eBid :- HERE
I know it doesn't help in this situation but,one of my T & C's is that the buyer contacts me within 7 days of auction end or I relist & leave negative feedback. It costs nothing to inform the seller of your intentions.
If the buyer is a new eBid member, it's possible they can't figure out how to give payment. Yes, this is unlikely but it is possible.
Another thing you can do is email directly to their registered email address with a polite inquiry about their intentions. It is possible (unlikely I'd say, but possible) emails from eBid are caught in their spam filter.
