Does that update show up in Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (make sure Show Updates is ticked)?

If so you could try removing it and letting Windows Update have another go at installing it.

Create a Restore point before doing anything - just in case you need to revert back to where you were.

Thanks for the tips. I uninstalled and re-installed and turned off auto update and it seems to have done the trick
