Question A thought about YDC rules

An interesting point has been raised. I've started a couple of items at more than 99p, because I'd like to see people pay a reasonable amount to H4H to represent the item *and* postage. I pay the postage myself, so the items are all listed with postage "included" worldwide... but that does make a bit of a nonsense of the 99p start. You can't post much for that!

Should the rules say 99p or £X.XX if postage is included?

I noticed the higher the start price the higher the increases - so I start at 50p - put in P&P which I state I pay anyway but makes some more for the charities. Not sure if this is right but has worked through the last month of charity auctions without complaint.

I think the real problem is that there are just too many listings per seller at the moment which reduces the competition.

However, if anyone else bids on any Lego listed by Emerson, there will be TROUBLE!

I normally set mine at a start price of anything downwards of 99p, with postage put on as an extra - and then I have donated the p&p to the charity along with the auction proceeds - although, admittedly, this past few months, regrettably, we have not been able to do that due to restricted finances.

However, an interesting point has been raised. Start price of 99p, with p&p included perhaps could be reviewed.

I think for the time being - ie this month - it is too short notice to bring it to an open table for discussion, so we'll leave it as it is, with the seller using their own disgression for the start price for included p&p and as the rules are set for not included p&p - 99p start price

Any other problems re listings etc - drop us a line
