Default Announcing Our First Product Search Marketplace Partners: Etsy, eCrater, and eBid

    Monday, November 9, 2009 | 12:15 PM

Today, we're excited to launch the Product Search Marketplace Partner program with our initial partner marketplaces eBid, eCrater, and Etsy. These marketplaces will submit product data for their sellers frequently and with all relevant attributes, so online shoppers get the up-to-date information they need to make smart buying decisions. Additionally, these marketplaces are a great solution for merchants who don't have a standalone retail website because they provide online visibility for the merchants' products. You can learn more about the program and our partners here.

Are we to assume the 'new look' site will require the input of a lot more attributes for an item when it is listed to comply with Google's requirements then? Will it become harder to get your items onto Google?

It is on there on the ebay section thanks to elgato, so it is not likely to be moved. Also been posted on money matters thing, and is being ignored by the "there is no other auction" crowd, which is funny.

As eBid is an international site perhaps at eBid towers they can press Google to allow other countries to use Google checkout and have listings on Google products - they have now included Germany where trade is in euros (which used to be the excuse!) France would be nice!
