Thread: Bead weaving anyone?

  1. #1

    Default Bead weaving anyone?

    Hi

I have done quite a few crafts but after my recent surgery I have really got into bead weaving - with a needle as opposed to a loom.

Does anyone else here do the same?

I love making flowers to decorate earrings, brooches and necklaces. I will get my camera out and take some photos to show you what I mean later!

    All the best!

Yes, I do and it's a lot of fun. Here's an example:

I have also just finished bead weaving two bands for watches which I will be adding to my auctions as soon as I take pics of them.

something I have done many many years ago. If I had more time, I would love to have another go. Right now I am determined to finish all the started projects before starting anything new ( can anyone else see those flying pigs??)

They are up here hovering over all my dozens of x-stitch kits - threads all sorted ready to go - oh yes and my 'Knit Your Own Eeyore' - some day oh some day...

Yes, I've done a bit of bead weaving from time to time! Bead flowers are lovely - you see some gorgeous antique ones here!

Yes, but I like knitting with beads more. With silk, some pretty beads and some OOOO size needles it forms what looks like bead weaving. Same technique used for beaded 1920s purses. Can do bracelets, bags, etc.

Hi - I love needle weaving jewelry too. Especially peyote stitch and daisy chains. Can't wait for retirement so I can bead every day!
