Thread: Edward III - groat

  1. #1

    Default Edward III - groat

I have this coin which I have looked up on the internet and I reckon it is a groat from the reign of Edward III with a possible value of £55.
Can anyone tell me where I start to get this coin authenticated, is it going to cost mega bucks and would it be worth doing?
many thanks for any advice given. The attached images are not of my coin but my coin does have all the markings on the ones in the pics.

Don't know anything about Groats, but if you have a local coin dealer, he may be able to appraise it. There may or may not be a fee. You can also send the coin to a 3rd party grading company such as NGC or PCGS. Check the web sites--fees vary.
    Sorry--all I know.
