That sounds sensible. I've started changing that on my auctions. Is there any way of linking straight to my email in the description? I've been trying for ages, but it doesn't show when I save.

You are not allowed to have your email address in your listings. Buyers can ask questions so you could put something about asking for postage details.

Thanks, that explains a lot! I spent ages trying, should have asked in the first place.

    Mike -
I'm just going to rehash some of the advice for you.
There are still several people that look at ending auctions in books to find something to read. So listing at least a few on 7-12 day rotation will get them seen, and that might bring those people to your store as well. If you list them as 10 day auctions, for example, with 10 reposts you won't need to relist for months if it doesn't sell, so not alot of work - especially if you stagger your dates.
Use the bulk edit to add shipping worldwide and to be seen worldwide.
Use the my notices to put a note on every auction asking buyers to email for postage costs, or use the bulk edit again to add a paragraph to your auctions. You could also just let people know that postage is at cost, or at cost plus xxx, giving them an idea of what you will be charging.
Along with the people who post on the forums, we have lots of people who simply view them. Use the User CP above to add a signature to your posts with a link to your shop. (The link under your avatar - is that Flashman? - goes to your about me page, but no one seems to remember that when looking at auctions.) This might give you a few more viewers as well.
    Hope some of this helps.

    Thanks klj
I've started altering listings, I'd figured out the staggering them bit, and will be taking all the other comments on board. Looks like I've got some major re-structuring to do
As I said, I got lazy listing over on greedbay and brought my idle habits here!
Oh well better get stuck in, there's a lot to do

A hero of mine too! Love those books. Met the great man at a book signing when Flashman and the Tiger came out. I was hoping he would get to the US civil war one he had planned as it sounded quite good. Too bad that can't happen now. But the series is so re-readable that I find jumping back in every so often works just fine as a 'fix'.

I met him at Cheltenham a few years back. He signed my Flashman books and they're my prize possession. The books I'd grab if the house was on fire!
My favourite one is Bernard Cornwell's 'Pale Horseman' which was dedicated to GMF. It's signed by BC and GMF on the dedication page. I look at it every so often and have a smug little grin to myself.
I can be such a big kid at times!

Same here! Had him sign mine as well and treasure them - but I do read them as well. I'm a careful reader though.
Don't blame you a bit about the Pale Horseman - that's what loving books is all about.

I might have to give Flashman another go. I tried the first one, and hated it. All that casual violence & rape, he just seemed a rather despicable twerp. But a google suggests the character (and thus the books) improved after that - would you Flashman fans say there's some truth in that?
