Default Lets help each other out

Right there have been a few threads lately whereby people are saying they have searched for an item on here and not found it. There have been many more people on here not selling (myself included).

Now if we all have 5 stores we can use for free there is nothing to stop people branching out but knowing what to branch out into can be difficult without knowing what people are looking for.

So with that in mind what have you been searching for?

We (I) might find you are searching for something that somebody knows an alot about and feels they can sell that successfully we then also know the gaps we have on ebid that need filling.

But on the plus side, last time I searched for the labels for my Dymo labelwriter, there were none but they are there now.. in quantity.

Double-fold quilting tape preferred over double-fold bias tape, but either would be welcome

Things I've had trouble finding on here:

Magnetic clasps for jewellery - the sort you put on your necklaces or bracelets so that you can just fasten them with the magnets.

    Knife rests.

    Padded hangers.

New books, as in just published. Ditto Blu-Ray DVD's.

    St. Agnes pottery

    Meissen Pottery

    Moorcroft Pottery

Card making punch for ribbon threading

    Quilling paper fringer

Anyone branching out into a new field, just to fill a gap in ebid, in my mind, would be a bit silly at the moment.
Taking on a new product involves investment, and I for one (and i doubt if I am alone on this), would not be willing to gamble any funds on a new product just to fill a gap on ebid.
I even thought long and hard about the £49.99 fee - if it had still been £99.99 - i would have had no thinking to do. Simply wouldnt have been here.

    Hi Madelaine.

Don't think I have any owl stamps but I have some baby ones - will check them to see if any have the wording you're after.

I was clearing all my Xyron stuff at half-price on Ebay some time ago and think they're all sold - will check my "box of forgotten treasures" to make sure.

I do have a huge assortment of wood-mounted stamps that I will be listing next week so keep an eye out!

Crocodile - good idea, this. I did check the Wanteds on a regular basis until I realised my category (crafts) was only getting about one request a month ... or less! So I stopped checking.

My own request - printhead for Canon MP730

Magnets, I agree that it would not be worthwhile investing in a whole range of products to satisfy a few customers, but if anyone has stuff sitting at home that they hadn't thought to list or (like me) has a shop with several thousands items and just don't know where to start, this is a good idea.

For example, klj - I have magnetic clasps and hole punches for ribbon threading. So now I know what to give priority to when listing in the next few days!
