What does RRP mean?

Hello,

I have just started on ebid and am trying to list some DVDs at auction. There is a space entitled "RRP". I do not know what this is for.

If anyone can answer my question, I would greatly appreciate it!

Recommend Retail Price - the original cover price.

I just looked at the selling form and did'nt se that anywhere, where is it?????

Maybe on the "pre-filled information" input form, rather than the standard listing form?

RRP = What the manufacturer thinks the retailer can get away with selling the item for without the buyers running away in horror.

I moaned (how unlike me) a bit back about the RRP field when supplying eBid with data for pre-filled information. It let me spend a good time filling in all the other details, including a long and complicated track list, only to refuse to accept any of it because I didn't know the RRP. Why is that field mandatory? Most items don't have a RRP.

It was probably based on book-listing, and written in the days of the Net Book Agreement, they just haven't caught up yet.
