Netgear modem routers

Hi,

Anyone have experience of setting up port forwarding on these? I have a DG834GT and DG834G v3 and neither of them seem to like port forwarding. I've followed guides to the letter, setting up services and firewall rules, nothing I do seems to work. By contrast, my BT Voyager works like a charm, it has a specific port forwarding section in the config menus but surely it is just doing exactly the same thing (but successfully)?

So I have two Netgear 834 modem routers that I cannot use, they are great for general broadband, just not port forwarding it would seem.

Turns out there was a configuration fault on my other piece of equipment (the one I was trying to port-forward to), though I don't remember changing it. Must be getting old!
