Oh dear - still no separate Cross Stitch, never mind subcategories.

Anyhow - I have an instructional x-st CD - I suppose it could be under software (I would never look there) but was thinking about CD:Other. What do you think? Where would you look?

If I was looking for a CD re: x-st I would search for cross stitch CD. That way no matter where it was located I'd be apt to find it. So make sure you have something like that in your title.

As for your x-st category request, good luck!

I think it could go in software or in cross stitch other I don't think normal CD section though as thats just music isn't it?

Listing is okay in the shop - but will try x-st other for the CD - it is glorified instructions after all - the CD bit just threw me for a moment

    Thanks all...

If you did Crafts & Sewing >Cross stitch > [then followed with the sub cats for cross stitch] and insert "finished or completed" in the list, that would be great.

    Thanks for your attention...
I just wanted to "bump" this up to the top.

Thanks to all for keeping this "up front"...[/QUOTE]

Just Bumping!!!! Still hoping for these changes...

I agree that there should be a separate subcategory for finished cross-stitch pieces as Other is just too broad.

I am surprised that Needlepoint is a completely separate subcategory under the main Crafts & Sewing category. I think it would be more consistent to move this to Crafts & Sewing>Sewing & Embroidery>Needlepoint, to keep it at the same level as the Cross-stitch and Tapestry subcategories. There are currently a lot of cross-stitch kits listed under Needlepoint and I presume that's because Needlepoint was the only stitching category visible at that level.

    nag- bump- nag...

.My main hobby is Cross-Stitching (with some knitting but not so much now the kids are older)

So any further categories to do with Cross-stich would be very welcome..
