    Default Question about getting going

Hi I have just started selling jewellery on ebid
but I do not seem to be able to attract any buyers.
    Do you have any advice?

I am not sure about my veiwing rats either as they
seem to change daily, is there a way to get a total viewing
as well as what apears to be the daily one?

I also can not seem to work out how to activate my shop
    can anyone help there?

shir1966, a BIG welcome to eBid and I hope you have great success here.

I do not know anything about jewellery so my comments will be more of the general sellling type.

You have not filled out you About Me page and that seems to be important to buyer and sellers alike.

Your listings are all 4 days > 1st bid and they will not work to the top in searches unless they are listed for a number of days that make each listing end. You can check to make them auto relist for up to 10 times so you don't have to do it manually.

The more listings and the more varied will get your auctions noticed by more people (at least that is the theory).

The view counters are not reliable.

To activate your store go to My stores and check online, then go to a listing and put it in the store. Sometimes it works without any problems and sometimes it takes more than one try. Once you get it activated and an auction in it it will work smoothly when making more listings. If there are no listings in the store it will automatically go off line.

I hope this is helpful. If you need anymore help come back and ask, there should be someone else respond as well.

Do fill in your about me page. I think it is especially important to tell buyers about yourself when you are selling higher priced items. And I am not saying your things are expensive for what they are! And that of course is another point: with money being tight, non-essentials and more expensive items are much harder to sell
But welcome to ebid and I hope things will get moving for you soon

Check the forums as many have contributed tips for making those first sales.

As mentioned, money is tight right now. I think step one is listing a variety of items with a whole range of prices. Offer discount on shipping second, third items too. That gets you more sells. Often someone will buy a cheaper item (to check you out) and then return for a higher priced one.

Welcome to ebid and good selling!

Good advice and don't get impatient. And bore everyone you speak to about your business here
