Thread: Advertising

    Wink Advertising

I think if we all spent as much time trying to make this site work as we did moaning about feebay we would be there by now
    We need advertising!!
What about local radion stations? mine is always on about what bargains they found over there!!
You can get a free mention on there im sure
Or stickers on outside on any envelopes and parcels you send? (these go through many hands)
    adverts in local shop windows?
I just think we need to do not moan
    do u all agree?

Why not do a forum search for 'advertising' or 'ads, or 'advertisements'

The numerous threads should keep you occupied for a good while, and provide you with all the answers you need!

We went to an antiques fair this afternoon and I wore my ebid T shirt and spent 5 minutes being quizzed by a stall holder about ebid, says she will give it a try. That's one more!

I blitz fairs with leaflets - I ask the organisers first, then visit each stall.
I wear my eBid teeshirt, and I get to answer a lot of questions as well.

If the organisers are not willing - I just go round in the shirt and chat to people.

I have to say that a lot of people are confused between feebay and ebid, so I like pointing out the differences.

Buyers are harder to convince (they have it good on ebay, no fees), but sellers ears perk up at the 2% fees. My tip, if someone is interested I take their email address and tell them I will send them an "invitation". Works every time and earns buddy points!!

All the above are great tips, but remember the best advertising is still getting your feebay customers to come over here. They liked us, bought from us, and wonder where we went. Send them invitations and you will increase your sales and ours too. Each of us should try bring at least two former customers over!!

Some good idea's there. Only 2? Why not 200?

There are many 'pros & cons' to having the same ID on both sites.

Easier for former customers to find you - but also easier for troublesome former customers too!
