Problems with BIN?

I have a prospective bidder who can't place a BIN bid.
Issue with support at the moment but was wondering if anybody else has encountered this.

Only reason I can think of is that the item has already got a bid - but then it wouldnt show BIN.

Perhaps the prospective buyer has a membership problem?

Hi,
Thanks for your input and good question.
I gave support the prospective bidders username and they should know if there is an issue with the membership, but would they look, or be more focused on a software issue?
Support thought they had resolved this earlier but bidder says not so I passed it back.
I hope I don't lose a sale because of this there scares enough as it is.
