One last ditch effort to plug my YDC bits - no not those bits....

I wanted to ask everyone's opinion on the can of salmon I have put up for the YDC. My hubby is worried that someone might claim to get sick from eating it and turn around and sue us...so now I'm thinking of maybe pulling that item from the auction. What do you all think?

I was going to reply, just hadn't quite got there yet( looking at the auctions) Now why would anyone get sick? I imagine you and hubby have been eating from the same batch. I would bid and eat if I liked fish. But if it swims in the sea, I don't like it. The only problem I can see is UK customs as the tin has no label with detailed ingredients

I also read something somewhere in a research project connected to mining that some areas that used to take their pastys as their lunch used to have them half savoury and half sweet -

am I remembering right??

That practice grew up independently in several parts of the country. Where I grew up in Bedfordshire they were made for the farm workers lunches and called, if I recall correctly, "bumpers".
