How do I get "server too busy"

when there are only about 20 people listed as being in the forums when it says

"Most users ever online in the forums was 1,670, 8th March 2008 at 02:01 PM."

I get it too, but I don't think it has anything to do with ebid itself

I was getting 'server too busy' on Wednesday...... on and off...... in the end I called it a day.
On Thursday it seemed to have sorted itself out.

I get this all the time!! It's sooooo annoying, especially when you typed a message to post click post and get server too busy!! Arghhhh

Been happening to me for the last few weeks bleerdy annoying ,but like Meebo said don't think it's owt to do with ebid,and I remember I think they were told by ebid to get it sorted which they obviously haven't

Not an excuse for it not to be sorted out but if you have written a missive and get the Server Busy error when trying to save... If you don't want to lose your work then do not close the page. Click on Refresh. You will get a dialogue asking something along the lines of 'The system needs to resend the information' with a Yes/No button. Click Yes. Repeat that until it does send. Even if that takes a while to find the server available and work.

A pain but it saves your magnum opus for prosperity.

Or you could go back a page then copy & paste to notepad & save for when the server comes back,or even do that before you click send.

Doesn't work. If you go back a page you are back to an empty edit box.

I haven't actually done it on a message post,Kim,no.It does do it when (for example)clicking a topic heading in the kt.If the notice comes up too busy then back paging takes you back to the kt.(cached page)
