Well I'm going to email support again, in the hope of an answer.

UPDATE: I have sent an email to support, to ask for them to be mended.
Pointed out 1) that absence of views makes the site look unused when visitors get here, and 2) that sellers who believe the zero hit counters are getting very discouraged and may leave.

I prefer for views to be only seen by the seller, especially if they are not accurate, but this has been said in other threads.

UPDATE: - I have an email from Gazza, who says that they have done something (yesterday) to stop counters resetting back to zero.

(not showing in the 'bugfixes' thread though! LOL)
