Go on Amazon and see how much feedback is given there.
I have a score of +12(More likely now sold 40 items there)
    cheers tony

True, the system there is barely used. I think perhaps it's because to the buyer it very much feels as if they're buying from a big site, rather than small individual sellers, so they don't see the need. I hardly ever leave feedback there either, since I know it's so rarely done it devalues the system... so I'm afraid I've become part of the problem.

I don't think that's only because it feels like a big site. It's also because that aspect of the site has a poor UI. I've had mails from buyers there who couldn't figure out how to leave me feedback, likewise I struggled with it. It's strange because the parts of Amazon's site concerned with their own sales are fantastically well thought out, so they have very competent people available, they just focus them on work that helps their own bottom line. Hmmm, maybe not so strange?

Earthengirl -- you've seen the reactions to changing the feedback system. You've only been around a month (welcome, by the way!). Yes, people do suggest changes to the feedback system from time to time, but this is one aspect of the eBid site that gets strong approval from almost everyone, buyers and sellers alike. It ain't broke, don't fix it. Indeed, it's not just not broken, it's brilliant -- I'm amazed other sites haven't picked up on it as by far the best way to do it.

    WELL DONE, MARK AND GAZZA!

I guess that's an issue we should raise in the forums over there!

    John.

    I agree.
If its not broke dont fix it.
I like the ebid FB system.
If an error is made, you can correct that error.

Leave it up to each individual seller & buyer when they leave FB.

Agreed - instead of sending out feedback reminders.
