Gazza and Mark visit this topic and upgrade/alter categories as and when they feel it necessary.

Not every suggestion is acted upon, and they do them in batches. There may be some weeks between batches.

I would just list your items in categories where others have listed similar, until some you suggest do appear.

What type of products are there? there are already categories for almost all the areas you've mentioned, under their type. e.g books on history. If these products are e books or similar please see ebids listing policies.

If you are a seller+ why not use these suggested sub- categories in a store to divide your listings if you wish to. There are already categories on the "Buy" pages covering the areas you suggest - I have just searched for your user name to see what eBid seller status you have - and the result says your user name is not found.
