Found on the floor of my Grandads shed in Cambridge some years back. Any info appreciated.

It's closest to an A. I as thinking Cambridge Football Assoc. if such a thing existed. It's connected to the name Hemmings, I'm sure, but I can't confirm that as there's no one left alive who would know.

it maybe something to do with the uni as they had a strong foothold in the football in that area at that time.

It looks like the pull tab from a equipment bag zipper to me. The zipper hook broke one day when ole granddad was trying to zip up an over stuffed bag. Looks too beat up to have been on a necklace.

Zips in the 30s? And this is silver, so must have been a bit more than a pull tag

No, it's a medal. It's without provenance and not connected to a major league so has little value (£25-£30 apparently).
