Erm, There is version 8 out now, that works fine for me (including the tabs)

I find that even IE8 feels old and behind the times, Safari and Firefox are my preferred browsers on Windows and Mac OS. If it wasn't for certain aspects of the integration of IE into Windows I would not even have IE installed.
