Thread: beta wysiwyg editor

Just tried the beta WYSIWYG editor in Avant Browser/IE7 and got exactly the same problems as with the Advanced editor - all my script moved around, in the wrong place, gaps/spaces where there shouldn't be..................................

I use the html script from TurboLister and have never had a problem with it - up until recently.

    Have just done so.

For those interested: this is what my listings should look like (done in FireFox):
    http://uk.nine.ebid.net/perl/auction...832&mo=auction

And this is what's happening (done in Avant Browser/IE7):
    http://uk.nine.ebid.net/perl/auction...917&mo=auction

I used exactly the same html in both listings.

To be honest looking at the amount of redundant html in both listings I'm amazed that they work at all.

The following is just to put your UK Auction Help link/logo in.

    Code:
     <p align="center"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#000000"><font color="#00008b"><font face="Comic Sans MS" color="#000000"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#000000"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#000000"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#000000"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#009300"><font size="3"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#000000"><font color="#00008b"><font face="Comic Sans MS" color="#000000"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#000000"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#000000"><font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#00008b"><font color="#00008b"><a target="fts" href="http://www.ukauctionhelp.co.uk/fairt...id=55647"><img height="60" alt="UK Auction Help - Fair Trader Scheme" width="231" border="0" src="http://www.ukauctionhelp.co.uk/ft/logo.php?lid=55647" /></a> </font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></p>
Were both of them done with the original advanced WYSIWYG editor?

What happens with a new listing just using the new beta editor, one the old one hasn't touched at all?

How do you paste in from TL, is it straight in, or have you tried the paste word, or paste plain text options in the beta editor to see if they make a difference.

I don't write the html (although I could), I copy and paste from TurboLister.

Just had a reply from Support, and they suggest using the "Plain HTML Box" instead of the Advanced editor for copy/pasting.

I might give writing my own html a go .................. depends how much non-existent spare time I've got + the day job to cope with

    Regards, Ann.
