Have ebid management forgotten about adding categories?
Madelaine
4 shops for Cats Protection & Prospect Hospice
My Postcard Shop
BK Stamps for Philatelic listings
& Yarnalong for craft patterns
and
Lotzabitz -anything that doesn't belong in one of the other shops.
Maybe they think my YDC bead cat is sufficient
I think it's quite a while since Da Boyz did any category updates - they probably have more pressing things to deal with, due to the impending update?
bump
CMEJewellery For all your jewellery needs.
Beads 'n' Bobs For beads.
Charms 'n' Findings For charms and jewellery making supplies.
Right.... First of all I must stress the fact that I know NOTHING about jewellery so, when in doubt I'll give you several options and you can pick the one that applies.
Ceramc > Other (Autre) Céramique
Ceramic > Polymer Clay/Fimo (????/Fimo) No Idea
Glass & Crysal > Pearl (Nacré)
I am not sure what you mean. Is it
Pearl as the noun pearl (Perle)
Pearl as the adjective iridescent (Nacré)
Pearl as the noun Mother of Pearl (Nacre -without the accent)
Metal > Sterling Silver (????Argent 925????) (Argent Massif)
Metal > Tibetan Silver (Argent Tibetain) (Tibétain)
Mixed Lots (??????????????) (Lots Mélangés ou Lots Mixtes) I prefer the second option but both are correct.
Pearl > Dyed (Teinté) (Teint) Teinté means tinted
Pearl > Synthetic (Synthetique) (Synthétique)
Rhinestone (????????????) I have looked at several French jewellery sites and they seem to use "Cubic Zirconium" a lot but I am not sure if it is the same thing
Move Shell from Bead Art and add sub-cats (?????Coquille?????)
If it is a shell like a snail, or a protection Coquille is fine.
If it's a seashell then use Coquillage
Shell > Dyed (Teinté) (Teint) see above *** Note that if you use Coquille you have to use Teinte (with a E) but with Coquillage you use Teint (no E)
Shell > Mother of Pearl/Abalone (Nacré/Abalone)
(Nacre - no accent if it is a noun - Nacré - Accent if it is an adjective *** same gender rule as above)
Shell > Natural (Naturelle) (Naturel - Coquillage is masculine **** Naturelle is fine for Coquille)
Stone > Chips (Chips) Is this chips as in small bits, like paint chips? in that case it could be Eclats
Stone > Dyed (Teinté) (Teinte - see above)
Stone > Gemstone (??????????????) (Pierre précieuse ou semi-précieuse)
Re-name Plastic as Synthetic (Synthétique) and add the following sub-cats (Synthétique)
Synthetic > Acrylic > Round (Acrylique > Ronde) (Ronde if the noun is feminine otherwise Rond - no E)
I hope this helps but if it is not clear, tell me and I'll give it another go.
More bead cats, as requested:
