CM, I might be wrong about the rocailles but I always thought they were more "square-edged" than seed beeds and usually metallic/foil lined - more like 1/3(ish) of a bugle bead. I think Delica beads are a similar shape but in a much broader range of colours.
    But I'm open to correction!

Thanks Treasured, that sounds about right. I still haven't requested them as a named sub-cat because there are still only two rocailles listings (and they both look like 'normal' seed beads, anyway)

I feel a YDC listing coming on (when I can be bothered to make a bead cat).

Hi i have just notice another cat that's missing as i am trying to list them now
jewellery findings > connector beads > single strand
jewellery findings > connector beads > Multi strand
i wonder if those could be added please

Thumbs down More sub cats??? Yikes NO!!

Oh dear (I'd say Oh Lordy but it sounded too religious)! Call me anti-sub-cat, but if a buyer needs a specific bead, they will just search for it.

Sellers should not have to navigate a huge sea of sub-categories to list their beads CORRECTLY, and techs should not have to spend countless hours creating new sub-categories. Adding more does not solve any "problem", it just provides an alternate way of finding an item. Unfortunately making changes is not cheap, it costs ebid tech time (money) and sellers time (money)too.

Also, since there are thousands of beads/pearls/crystals in numerous sizes, cuts, colors, shapes, and countries of origin (all important to buyers) will breaking down all categories be far behind? Why?

Sorry delta but i am gonna have to dissagree with you as most jewellery sites use cats and sub cats as it is easier in my opinion to find what your looking for.i would also like to see these changes made

jewellery making > stringing materials > Elastic
jewellery making > stringing materials > thread
jewellery making > stringing materials > wire and tigertail

move the 2 cat below and change to above
jewellery making > findings > wire & tiger tail
jewellery making > findings > thread

also tigertail has no space between tiger and tail and does not show up when seaching as one word !! i would like to see the space gone
