They would really be in hot water then!

I'm going to have to go over there now and have a read of this.

So long as there are buyer refugees as well.... !

Couldn't believe what I read on that notice; like you say above, they have gone mad. I bet Donahoe will get the push some time this year though. Something will happen - they are suffering now, it's not going to get much better and if they don't change their tactics then someone's head will roll and it will be his.

As I said on the thread referred to: they are trying to be like the Big River, but the difference is that feebay is compltely disorganised, so it can't work.

The post giving the dialogue between the 'warehouse' and the seller had me giggling though!

(I'd have to be mad to even consider putting more items on feebay now!)
Why not take a quick look at my Stores?

Not all buyers want to buy goods imported from China.
IMO to many fakes come out of China.

The other site will only want Companies that can drop sship their items from China by the pallet load.
Sellers with one offs, smaller quantities will not be wanted by the EbayAm MK11 site.

So if buyers can not get their items there, they will starting looking elsewhere for their items IMO.
    Lets hope it is here.

As a buyer I would not trust the new site to get my order out on time or to give a efficient service.
As soon as buyers hit a problem with that new site they will move on, looking for their items elsewhere.

The only sellers IMO who may have a chance of surviving, would be the ones buying thousands of the same cheap tat at cheap prices from China.

The more expensive quality items sellers would not survive IMO ,due to all the extra fees, storage & processing costs on top of all the present fees.

think we should jump on the boards over there and start hinting about ebid.
I look at the boards overthere alot (mainly for a good giggle or to help out store owners getting bullied by some of the people who post on the shop board) i have noticed that even there PINKS have vanished.
Before x-mas there was a thread on the shop board about ebid that ran for a good week without being pulled.

can't not help but be careful not to promote indervidual stores as this could cause you problems.
and if you do mention ebid make sure you mention it as .net as ebid in serch engines brings up feebay top.

In response to the original question of whether or not an ebay fulfillment service would translate into more business for eBid, here are my answers:

My instinctual answer was to say "no" as sellers at eBay like the abuse heaped onto them. However, after more consideration, I would change my answer to "yes" because I can't see eBay keeping many of the categories that are filled with unique and one-of-a-kind items like collectables, jewellery, coins and paper money, etc. EBay would have to be split into several smaller companies with one imitating the Amazon model and another catering to smaller sellers (like the ebay of old). As I don't see eBay giving a toss about smaller sellers any more, some of those refugees will end up here.

I don't agree that eBay is crazy just for polling sellers on the idea. It's a viable idea. However, ebay does not hire any experts like, say, Heritage Auctions or many of the major auction houses, so they would continue to depend on sellers to be the experts on everything they want to sell, and that works about as well as Communism (literally).

I'm waiting for the day when eBay sends "Guido" to my place to steal my possessions (without my knowledge or consent) so they can keep their warehouses fully stocked.

    Cheers,
    Mark
