Default Switching to eBid from eBay

I have been on eBay since 2002. Its time for me to switch to eBid for the cost is getting too high on eBay. I have been scouting around on eBid the past few months and see alot of old eBay'rs selling here on eBid. Give it time if you have a store on eBay I reccomend for in the near future eBid will start advertising more on the web for it has a broader view in respect to sellers & buyers than the boob tube. Remember eBay tried advertising on the television years ago? It was nearly a flop for them for the millions spent was sucked right from their profits that year. IT did not last that long did it?

Welcome to Ebid, I'm an ex EB'yer, started there in Feb.2002.
You will find this site is so much more friendlier, and cost effective.
Sales on Ebid are at a slower pace than Eb'y.
But with members growing steadily, this is changing.

Follow this link and use the links on that page to get seen quicker,
and don't forget to email all your previous customers.

    Default E*bay revenue decrease.

Just read an article about E*bay in PCPro, it made interesting reading. For instance, it mentioned that EŁays' revenue had dropped 7% in the last quarter, also, share value has fallen 60%.
Mainly this is due to EŁay offering special 'Diamond Rates' to welcome major retailors to their site. So far, they have signed-up Argos & play.com. This of course is not good news for the EŁay shop owners.

Until now, Argos (and a few others) sold-off their catalogue returns as palletted lots via their own clearence site. Now, they sell-off these items directly through EŁay.

How does this make the commercial EŁayers feel?, pretty hacked-off, especially as the big boys are garruanted top spot in the listings.

From a sellers point of view, it makes listing items a waste of time.
From a buyers prospective, it makes finding what I am after a thankless task as I have to plough through page after page of 'Buy it Nows' to find that elusive 'real seller' who still tries to trade. Its like looking for a goldfish in a bowl of pirahnas.

I will be moving entirely to Ebid as of 1st May 2009.

For those still selling on feebay, you might want to read this and take note of the new 'dispute' procedure.

Glad I left that site and found ebid.

    Still more rule changes?.
Ebay really do seem determined to alienate every seller still desperately hanging on in there. They've now started issuing warnings to anyone who mentions any other auction or selling site on their forums or anywhere else.Noticeably mention of a certain site that has two and a half million items up for sale will earn an instant 'fizzer'.
They seem incapable of judging the mood of the clients they have left and the anger over the constant changes in rules and ever climbing fees.
First rule in business, listen to your customers.

seams to me that they have now set the line of the way they want to go and that is for the big corps and screw the little guy its just an extra change to drive more little guys away.
