Thread: Charity Store

  1. #1

    Default Charity Store

I have gone through 3 pages of this catagory and have found everything except what I need to know. I have gone through all the other sources that I can find. I would like some guidance on what the guidlines are? I want to do it the right way and do not want to start something that will not be a benefit to my charity or eBid.

    Thanks, Granny

Ebid assume that we are trustworthy. If you want to set up a charity store on ebid, just place it in the charity section. Giving the money to the charity is your responsibility. Some people put pictures of their receipts up on their all about page, others don't . After that, ask your questions and we will try to answer them.

My charity store has been here forever (in ebid terms)!

With 7 items in the store, you won't, Ann. Ebid is a more difficult market. The price for lower fees is lower traffic. I have around 250 items in my charity store and I sell 4-10 items per month. As the costs are tiny, I think it is worth it. Sales have been improving all year.

I opened my charity fund raising store over a year ago after my mother died at Christmas 2008.

I contacted the charity concerned to get their OK, and have never looked back. Sales are definitely inproving, but you do need to plug them outside of eBid - the monthly YDC auctions certainly help
as does using such as twitter, and maybe Facebook to publicise your listings.
