I did my self assement, & thou they tax my pension at soarse, they insisted I owed them £159 0dd & got a reminder at the beginning of the week it needs to be pd byend Jan so pd yesterday in case I forget, will argue it with them later, but if not £100 fine if not pd.

I'm so glad you started this post. I decided to do my self assessment form online this year, but i forgot you had to get a pin number to activate it.
Because of your reminder, i have just been online to register, and they will send my pin no within 7 days.
So thank you so much. i really don't want a £100 fine, which is what i would have gotten if i hadn't done this today.

Great.The pins arrive pretty quick. i had to request a new one on 29th Dec. it arrived on 3rd January.

Sounds as though you missed out the tax deducted box when you entered your pension. You can edit your return online too.

Well i've just filled in my online tax return, and it all went through ok.

Is it showing as received or submitted, there is a difference. It needs to show as received by 23:59:59 January 31/01/09

There is sometimes a delay, so keep an eye on it.

was successfully received on 2009-01-24T15:07:50.897 and is being processed.

So i think it's ok

While i was filling it out, i was a nervous wreck in case it didn't go through, or the computer crashed
