jewellery tutorials

Is it possible to sell tutorials for making jewellery here on ebid?
I am thinking of creating either ebooks or dvd's for techniques and tutorials on making wire sculpted jewellery.
I have not seen anyone else here doing it and I am wondering why not, is it against the rules or something?
If anyone knows anything about this could they let me know what the situation is with ebooks etc....thanks folks

Any eBooks or emailable information will be removed.

Not sure about the DVD as that would be a tangible item.

But go the CD / DVD route you'll have a deliverable item you can post, which should be fine.

If you're aiming the tutorials at beginners, why not include some practice materials to cover all the bases?

As well as no ebooks, eBid also have a rule that you can't sell 'information only'. While this was put in place to stop people showing a picture of a wii (or whatever) and selling information on where to buy them, you never know when a pedant will strike.

Good luck with it. I've not tried any wire sculpture yet so you may even get a sale.

I kinda had a feeling ebooks might not be allowed, too easy to commit fraud with those. So it's going to have to be the CD/DVD route, will have to make sure I clean me finger nails before I begin...lol

I was already thinking of maybe selling the materials in like a kit form too, so it's good to know others were thinking along those lines too.

I've never seen a DIY wire kit with instructional DVD included before, I think you may have found a gap in the market there mate! I've seen your stuff - it's gorgeous

Thanks so much for the encouraging words.
I am definately going to work on setting this up soon.
I am currently seeking a digital video camera to make the DVD 's with and as soon as I get that I can begin.
I will offer the kits with either a DVD or with a hard copy of the tutorial in words and pictures, that way people can choose to either go for the more expensive DVD or a cheaper hard copy version.
That way I can get on with things even as I am searching for a video camera to buy.
I am excited by this, should keep me busy for a while
