The other side don't actually have it all sorted.

They have changed some of their categories. I know because I was looking for something yesterday and the format for that section had all been altered.

So even your 'winning formula' is not perfect or it would stay the same.

    Hi Peeps,

As others have said, 'If it's not broke, don't fix it'.

It's nice and simple here on eBid, and we can ask for more categories, and sometimes we get them, and sometimes we don't.

But, please, no suggestions of paying more money. If anybody wants that, there is another site happy to oblige.

I left it to come here!

    All the best, Steven

Unhappy I want a car not an exhaust!

After 3 years, I thought I would try out ebid again as I am looking for a car for my wife. (upto £500, Automatic, medium size eg. Mondeo). Ebay over 400 cars. Ebid - Not one! All I seem to get is a long list of exhausts from 'onlineautomotive'. They are good I have used them (via ebay) but why are they not listed under a sub category of 'parts'. As I say it has been 3 years since I used this site, so may have missed something. Ease of use (without referring to the manual) is very important in my view if you want to attract custom and keep it. I don't want to spend half a day learning how to search etc.. One final note. Ebay and Ebid are like TomTom and Garmin(et al).
TomTom is No.1 (but not the best) because it is EASY to use.
I say this because I really want to like ebid. Thanks.

It's possible that the categories have been changed since those items were listed. There is a problem here (and I hope I won't be shot by the evangelicals for mentioning it ) with sellers dumping stuff with a "give it shot" attitude then departing for other sites and not keeping up their listings. However good you've found the seller to be elsewhere, if he's listing in the wrong place here, or paying so little attention to his account that he fails to notice when things change, then that is the fault of the seller, not the site. If you want to see eBid work, then report auctions that are faulty. The seller will then have to relist his stuff in the right place.

I've just looked at that list - The parts are definitely in the wrong category.

He should be listing them in 'parts and accessories'.

I can't find them there under that username,or exhausts near Northampton.Perhaps they've already left.

I love the fairy lights on the camper!
Part of ebids charm is that it isn't like the other site.I've seen a ot of suggestions implemented, many more than you now where.

Perhaps the categories here aren't always perfect, but they work. I know Gazza added a lot of subcategories not too long ago, so they aren't cast in stone. In my own buying, I don't rely on the categories, I search for auctions in all categories, looking for what I hope are the right keywords. I did the same thing when I used to shop on GreedBay, and I honestly never noticed the categories.

Granted, I've never looked for an auto online.
